Over 200 employees from the Detroit office of the accounting/consulting firm Deloitte & Touche USA will trade debits and credits for hammers and saws to spruce up the Detroit Zoo.
Volunteer projects include repairing picnic tables in the Zoo’s main picnic grove, sprucing up the entry gates and directional signage, and conducting general clean-up at the Rackham Fountain, Arctic Ring of Life and other exhibits.
The Detroit Zoo project is part of Deloitte’s company-wide Impact Day, which encourages all 34,000 of the company’s U.S. employees to volunteer on more than 500 hands-on community service projects in 140 locations.
America’s Master Handyman Glenn Haege will help transform the accountants into master craftsmen for a day by providing his expert advice on work projects.
